Your art is fabulous! When I saw that Danny Roberts of Igor and Andre commented that he liked your work, I had to check it out. (I am his mother and I know he doesn't hand out compliments to just anybody, unless they are really good!) I love your style and detail. I shall enjoy following your work. You are very talented!

to mrs Mother of Danny - My God! Thank you so so much for your kind words - it really made my day! ♥ ♥ ♥ I do love Danny's work. It's more genuin than I've seen in the longest while. Also - he seem to be almost spitting the artworks out in the most amazing phase - you have to make sure that he gets some sleep every once in a while :)

Dear Sofie Violett, Thank you for your appreciation and concern for my son Danny. He truly does draw day and night, although he takes his breaks to be with family and friends. Tell me, where do you get your inspiration for your art? It is lovely and classic, very "old school." Mary Roberts

mary - Aw! That sounds really great. That's rather funny, I've never thought of my work as "old school" - but really, it's such a great label for it! I suppose I get inspired by thinking in concepts. I always try to communicate a number of feelings in an entire atmosphere - and, some how, borrowing themes and classic clichés from childrens books, comes naturally.

For instance: in the painting I'm working on right now I'm trying to sheed some light over 'the young female friendship' and how easily things change when you grow up, by using an approaching war in the background.

It's so nice you taking an interest! ♥ Did Danny get his artistic talent from his parents?

Sofie Violett, Fascinating! The reason I thought that your art looks old school is because it reminds me of drawings from children's books from the early 1900's, the clothes and details. I love the style of that period. His father and I can't take credit for Danny's talent, although I did draw as a child, and there are artists on both sides of our families. Danny's sister is an architect and is very artistic. We did encourage Danny to pursue his interests, and his hard work has paid off. He is doing what he loves to do, as are you! It shows in your work. Keep it up! Mary
